Meet Rima
I bring a unique perspective as a refugee, a person of color, a person of a marginalized religious group, a child that was in poverty, a scientist, an educator, and a healthcare worker. My lived experiences make me a strong community leader.
As your Trustee, I will ensure all voices are heard and addressed.
On the Issues
The challenges facing Ann Arbor Public Schools include issues surrounding diversity, equity, inclusion and antiracism, transparency and community engagement, and learning and curriculum assessment.
As an Ann Arbor Public Schools Trustee, I will foster community input and discussion, ensure open communication, analyze and address opportunity gaps in education, and do everything I can to prioritize the needs of all members of our community.
I am proud to have the support of community leaders and organizations!
